How to play

• Click a side of the board to slide every tile that way. The board is cut into four triangles meeting in the middle; a click outside the board, or right in the centre, does nothing.
• You can also press hotbar keys 1, 2, 3 and 4 to slide left, up, down and right. Small key caps beside the board show which number goes with which side, and the one your pointer is aiming at lights up as an arrow.
• Every tile moves as far as it can. Two equal tiles that meet merge into one worth their sum, and a tile made by a merge cannot merge again in the same slide.
• Each slide that moves something adds a new tile in an empty cell: a 2 nine times in ten, otherwise a 4. A slide that cannot move anything does nothing.
• Merge two 1024 tiles to make 2048 and you win. A YOU WIN! banner appears; your next click or key press only clears it, and after that you can keep playing for a higher score.
• The game ends when the board is full and no slide can move anything.

Scoring

• Your score is the sum of the values of every tile you have merged.
• It is recorded once, when the game ends. Your best score is kept and shown beside the live score.
