Installing

Add mc8 to the server. Players install nothing.

  1. Match the server. Use Java 25 and choose the mc8 jar for your Minecraft line and server type: Fabric, NeoForge or Paper.
  2. On Fabric or NeoForge, put the matching mc8 mod jar in mods/. Fabric also needs Fabric API and Fabric Loader 0.20.1 or newer; NeoForge needs no extra mod.
  3. On Paper, put the matching mc8 plugin jar in plugins/, not mods/.
  4. Start the server. There is nothing to install on the clients.
  5. Hand out cores. Run /computer core as a gamemaster (permission level 2).

Supported server lines

The server and mc8 jar must match. These are the configured Minecraft and loader builds; use the Fabric API for the same line.
