How to play
- LMB Uncover a hidden square. A number counts the mines in the eight squares around it. A zero has no mines next to it, so the whole empty region around it opens up to the first numbers.
- RMB Plant or remove a flag on a hidden square where you think a mine is. A flagged square cannot be uncovered by accident.
- LMB Open every other neighbour of an uncovered number once its flags match its count. If one of your flags is wrong, that opens a mine and ends the run.
- Your first click is always safe: mines are laid after it, clear of that square and the ones around it.
- Uncover every safe square to win. Uncover a mine and the run is over.
- Clearing a board unlocks the next size up: 8x8, 10x10, 12x12, 14x14, then 16x16. The mine count rises with it, from 10 to 16, 22, 31 and 40.
- Before your first dig, the size button in the footer cycles the five sizes and deals the one it lands on, so you can start on the board you want.
- Once you have dug, that button becomes End, which gives up the board as if you had hit a mine. When the board is cleared or blown up it becomes New.
Scoring
- Score is the number of safe squares you have uncovered, plus a bonus equal to the board's square count for clearing it. A cleared board always beats a partial one of the same size. Best is your best score for the board size.
- The ranked result is your clear time in whole seconds, fastest wins. Every board size keeps its own best.
