Choose a well from 8 to 12 cells wide before you start; every size is 21 rows high, and the default is 10x21.
How to play
- Slide and turn each piece as it falls. It locks the moment it can fall no further, so fit it before it settles.
- The ghost outline shows where the falling piece will land. The NEXT panel shows the piece after it.
- Pieces are dealt from a shuffled bag of all seven shapes, so every shape turns up once before any repeats.
- A piece that is a cell short of turning against a wall or the stack is nudged sideways, up to two cells, so tight fits still turn.
- Some pieces come with sand cells in them, shown in NEXT. When the piece locks its sand falls straight down into any gap, and more sand above a clear settles again. Each further clear in a chain pays more.
- Fill a row to clear it: the line vanishes and everything above drops.
- Every 100 cells cleared raise the level. Wider rows count for more cells. A higher level makes pieces fall faster and gives the well a new colour scheme.
- The run ends when a new piece has no room to appear.
Scoring
- Clearing 1, 2, 3 or 4 lines at once scores 100, 300, 500 or 800 points, multiplied by your level.
- The level is 1, plus one for every 100 cells cleared: ten lines at the default width.
- At level 1 a piece falls one row a second. Each level shaves a little off that, until it falls about seven rows a second at level 10, and no faster after.
- Score is this run's total. Records are kept per player and well size. Click the champion's badge to see the selected size's leaderboard.
