How to play

  • Black plays first, then white. P1 is you, the player who opened the app, and plays black. A second player joins by clicking the screen and takes white.
  • The game starts with four discs in the centre, two of each colour.
  • Only the player whose turn it is can play. Every square you may play wears a green ring: tap one to place your disc there.
  • A move must flip at least one disc. Lay your disc so that a straight line of your opponent's discs - in any of the eight directions - ends in one of yours. Every disc in that line flips to your colour.
  • A square that would flip nothing is not a move, and it carries no ring.
  • If you have no legal move, you pass automatically. There is no Pass button.
  • The game ends when neither player can move, which includes a full board.

Scoring

  • The player with the most discs on the board wins. Equal counts are a draw.
  • Each side shows its player's record - wins, draws and losses. The record follows the player, not the colour, and New keeps it.
